Hello there! I'm Richard Stonehouse, an experienced architectural photographer based in Oswestry, Shropshire. I have been capturing the beauty of architectural designs for nearly 30 years now, and I truly understand the importance of showcasing your work to the world.
Working with smaller architectural practices is something that I am truly passionate about. I believe that these practices are the backbone of the architecture industry, working on a wide range of amazing projects that deserve to be highlighted. I understand that for smaller practices, engaging an architectural photographer for marketing purposes may seem like a costly exercise, especially when traditionally architectural photographers charge per image.
That's why I offer a different approach. Instead of charging per image, I base my fees on the time spent shooting. This way, we can discuss the scale and location of the project, identify key images angles and details, and determine if day and night shots are needed. Based on this information, I provide a quote for how long I'll be on site, including any exceptional travel costs beyond my usual range.
My fees typically range from £350 for a half day to £700 for a full day, with no additional travel charges to locations within an hour or so of Oswestry, such as Manchester, Liverpool, and Birmingham. I will then make a broad edit of images, process and finish them, and deliver all the high-resolution files via digital download for you to use freely for your practice.
If you have a third party involved, such as a construction firm or developer, they can also benefit from the same library of images for an additional fee. I ensure that the whole fee is charged to one client, allowing you to decide how to distribute the costs among parties involved.
My goal is to help you promote your practice and secure more commissions by creating a great selection of images that showcase your design skills. I always go above and beyond to ensure that you have the perfect visuals to progress onto your next great design.
